Serengeti/Ngorogoro Crater
Wow! Today was amazing. We left camp and started our drive out of the Serengeti. Many Cape buffalo were near our camp.
The leopard was sleeping on a big rock today.
We drove past the baby lions again - this time it was like their mom posed them on a rock for us! We couldn’t have planned it better ourselves.
Mom was nearby watching closely.
Bye bye Serengeti
Once we left the park gates and entered the Ngorongoro Conservation Area the nomadic Maasai are allowed to live there. This was one herd of goats.
This is how very dry it is there
This is the Maasai selling honey on the side of the road. It’s in any bottles they can find.
Toilet in the park for Bella, because she wonders why I take so many toilet photos. Travelling in a new country can be scary, and I wish there had been more information about toilets before I went.
Ngorongoro Crater from the rim.
Down in the crater
Picnic lunch! Pizza today! With potato wedges, beets, juice box, apple, chips and chocolate covered wafers.
Stork watching for scraps
Couldn’t find an actual rhino ☹️ but I got a photo of this guy
It’s amazing how close we get to the animals
Back at the top - lookout
I’m having trouble loading the rest of the photos from today, but they are just of the accommodations so I’ll just add them at the start of tomorrow’s. No more game drives. Tomorrow we get to do some souvenir shopping, visit the Maasai village and return to our starting lodgings for our final night.
So many wonderful pictures. 💖
ReplyDeleteLots of animals again! I actually called one of them a Hogwart instead of a Warthog...I think I see some family influence there... Love your photos! (of you)
ReplyDeletelol 👆 hogwart. Love your rhino too! Really beautiful photos. I hope you're planning a slide show for us when you visit.
